Hillary Clinton’s gay ‘nephew’ writes a post explaining she supported him coming out

By Darren Mew

A close family friend to Hillary Clinton shares a heartfelt letter on Facebook about his personal relationship with the presidential candidate.

Colin Ebeling knew Hillary Clinton since he was born as his mother was “best friends [with Clinton] since they were little girls growing up in Park Ridge”

In the post he recalls how Clinton was “a warm, funny lady who taught me how copious amounts of hot sauce on your scrambled eggs will keep you healthy.”

He goes on to say in the post, how much of a role she played in his life and how accepting and supportive she has been of him and his husband, saying: “The woman who signs her letters as “Aunt Hillary” congratulated me when I came out of the closet, when I got my pilot’s license, when I married my husband and, when we adopted our baby girl.”

Clinton even helped out with his family when his mother suffered with cancer explaining how “She checked in with my family regularly.”

Over the years Clinton has stuck by Ebeling and even taken him and his husband to events.

“Hillary has included me and my husband in countless events over the years and always greets us with warmth and sincere affection.” He writes.

Ebeling ends his post by urging people to vote for Clinton saying that it “truly pains me to see this smart, caring woman made out to be some sort of monster”, and that by voting Clinton “You’ll be sending a message to my daughter that she can accomplish anything she sets her mind to.”
