Halsey has announced an “unreal” cameo in Bradley Cooper’s upcoming film A Star Is Born

The 23-year-old singer revealed the news in a tweet this week, announcing that she will be briefly starring in the film alongside Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper.

A Star Is Born, which was adapted into a 1954 musical starring Judy Garland and James Mason and then reimagined as a 1976 rock musical with Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson, marks Bradley Cooper’s directorial debut as well as Gaga’s first major movie role.

Announcing the news, Halsey wrote: “I guess now is a good time to finally tell you guys that I have a little cameo in A Star Is Born. Thank you so so much to Gaga and Bradley for including me. It was an honour to watch both of your talent and dedication on set.”

She added: “An all time life highlight for me for sure.”

Then, when asked what her role in the film would be, the ‘Alone’ singer explained: “I play myself for a very small moment! Which is insane because it means Gaga and Bradley saw me worth of representing a piece of the current state of music in this film forever.

“They could have picked any artist. It was so humbling and unreal.”

The movie, which doesn’t release until next month, has already earned critical praise. It sees Cooper as jaded rock star Jackson Maine who discovered struggling artist Ally Rose (Gaga) and nurtures her into a star as his own career continues to fade.

Gaga shared three new clips from the film on Instagram this week, giving fans a closer look at Ally and Jackson’s relationship.

A Star Is Born will hit cinemas on October 5. Watch a trailer for the movie below:
