Grand Theft Auto goes gay with new Pride modification

By Will Stroude

Los Angeles has been home to Pride marches since the 1970s, and now Los Santos, the city’s fictional equivalent in Grand Theft Auto 5, is getting in on the fun thanks to a clever new mod.

According to Digital Spy, a team of Grand Theft Auto fans teamed up with Stockholm Pride and Swedish advertising company Garverg to build a modification which turns the streets of Los Santos into a fabulous pride parade, complete with rainbow outfits, floats, music and a touching tribute to Orlando.

Speaking about the modification, which is available for PC players, the president of Stockholm Pride, Christian Valtersson, said: “The message of love and equality is always needed and we are happy that players get to host their own Los Santos Pride Parade.

“It has been wonderful to get to cooperate with such creative and talented people as the ones who made this idea into reality.”
