star Andrew Rannells has said he would love to see some “gay sex” on the show.

Rannells plays Elijah, the gay ex-boyfriend of Lena Dunham’s Hannah, in the acclaimed HBO series, which is now onto its third season.

Speaking to E!, the actor revealed he has “volunteered myself for nakedness” in future episodes, before adding: “I feel like with Looking on the air, I gotta represent some gay sex on the show. I’m willing.”

When asked which actor he would like to play his next on-screen boyfriend, Rannells replied: “Always and forever it will be Hugh Jackman.”

Girls star Lena Dunham, who also writes and directs the show, has recently been honoured for her support of the LGBT community. The 27-year-old was the 2014 recipient of gay advocacy group Point Foundation’s “Horizon Award”.

The third season of Girls is currently airing on Sky Atlantic in the UK and HBO in the US.
