Girls Aloud’s Nicola Roberts helping The Saturdays star with solo material

In a match made in pop heaven, Girls Aloud’s greatest solo star – Nicola Roberts – is helping a member of The Saturdays pull off a similar feat.

Nicola’s album Cinderella’s Eyes was very positively reviewed upon its release in 2011, and she’s since been working as a songwriter for other artists – including, it seems, Mollie King.

Mollie wrote in the pic’s caption: “Studio night with these two beauts! (It was only our 500th attempt to get a shot of us all in, looking alive)”.

Nicola herself also shared the snap, saying: “Me and Jem helped Mollie write a song today for her.. Embarrassingly, after numerous attempts to get a pic, this was the only acceptable one.”

Mollie’s been cooking up some solo stuff throughout 2015, and remains adamant that The Sats have not split up. She told Notion: “I’d be lying if I said I was ready for the band to end. We’ll get back in the studio at some point. I’d really like us all to do another tour together.”

She’s not the only one who’s been working on music alone: Vanessa White uploaded a track called Relationship Goals late last month, and this week shared a video for it:
