‘Game of Thrones’ renewed for another two seasons

HBO has renewed Game of Thrones for another two seasons.
Season four of the hit fantasy series began on HBO in the US on Sunday (April 6), drawing the show’s highest-ever audience for the network.
In the UK, the season premiere was shown at exactly the same time thanks to a Sky Atlantic “simulcast”.
Following HBO’s two-season order, Game of Thrones – which won the TV prize at last year’s Attitude Awards – is now guaranteed to run for at least six seasons.
HBO’s Michael Lombardo said in a statement: “Game of Thrones is a phenomenon like no other. [The show’s creators] David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, along with their talented collaborators, continue to surpass themselves, and we look forward to more of their dazzling storytelling.”
Season four of Game of Thrones will continue on Sky Atlantic next Monday (April 14) at 9pm.
