First look at Taron Egerton as Elton John in ‘Rocketman’ film has been revealed
The actor was announced to be playing the legendary singer in the upcoming biopic

The first image of Taron Egerton as Elton John in the upcoming Rocketman movie has been released.
The Kingsman star was announced to play the legendary British singer in the biopic, which was first announced way back in 2011 and charts Sir Elton’s rise to fame in the late ’60s and early ’70s.
It will follow his life, from his years as a prodigy at the Royal Academy of Music through his influential and enduring musical partnership with Bernie Taupin.
Now, the first official image of Egerton as John has been released and we have to say, the likeness is uncanny.
Dexter Fletcher has helmed the film, which has been written by Lee Hall, the man behind Billy Elliot the Musical and the 2005 adaptation of Pride & Prejudice starring Keira Knightley
Egerton stars alongside Jamie Bell, Richard Madden, Gemma Jones and Bryce Dallas Howard.
Rocketman is slated to be released in May next year.
