Exclusive | All Saints’ new single ‘This Is a War’ gets a dancefloor-ready remix

By Will Stroude

As All Saints continue on the long-awaited comeback trail, we can exclusively unveil a remix of their brand new single ‘This Is a War’ that’s bound to put you in the mood for the weekend.

Co-written by Shaznay Lewis, the track is the second official single from the group’s first studio album in a decade, Red Flag, which rightly hit the Top 3 on the UK Albums chart last month, and follows the epic ‘One Strike’.

The new remix by Paul Morrell sees the rousing mid-tempo number given a huge dancefloor-ready reworking that has us crying out for 5pm, and the girls’ soaring trademark vocals are ensuring ‘dance-pop banger feat. All Saints’ is firmly on our musical wishlist for 2016.

We’re told Mel, Shaznay, Natalie and Nicole, who’ll be heading out on their first headline UK tour in 15 years in October, will be shooting the video for ‘This Is a War’ later this week – and on the basis of their already stellar comeback so far, we can’t wait to see what they’re got in store for us.

Listen to ‘This Is a War (Paul Morrell Radio Edit)’ below:

Meanwhile, the Saints recently gave a pop classic their own unique spin, covering Madonna’s ‘Like a Prayer’ for Radio 2’s Sounds of the ‘8os album – give it a listen here.
