By Shaun Kitchener

It’s been 40 years since Cher and Tina Turner covered Shame, Shame, Shame by Shirley & Company on The Cher Show, but it’s currently enjoying another round of popularity on social media thanks to one fansite.

Cher Mexico’s upload last week has now been viewed 4.5 million times and racked up around 70,000 shares. Watch on YouTube below or go to the original Facebook post here.

LEGENDARY.

Fans have been loving the classic 70s outfits and performance styles, the likes of which we’d love to see making a triumphant return in 2015.

A musical based on Cher’s life and career is thought to have been in development over the last few years, with the star herself having released her most recent studio album – Closer To The Truth – in 2013.

Turner, meanwhile, released her last studio album in 1999, although she performed with Beyonce at the 2008 Grammys and 2013 became the oldest person to ever grace the front page of Vogue.
