‘Enders’ coming out plot nominated at Inside Soap Awards

‘ recent coming out storyline has been nominated for Best Storyline at the 2014 Inside Soap Awards.

Linda Carter’s (Kellie Bright) journey to accepting Johnny’s (Sam Strike) sexuality will go up against John Paul’s rape in Hollyoaks, Hayley’s death in Coronation Street and the Woolpack Siege in Emmerdale, as well as other high-profile plots.

Meanwhile, Sam Strike has been nominated for Best Newcomer, while his on-screen father Danny Dyer is up for Best Actor. Also nominated for Best Actor are Hollyoaks actors Kieron Richardson and James Sutton.

Coronation Street returnee Bruno Langley is up for Best Bad Boy after splitting up the marriage of Marcus (Charlie Condou) and Maria Connor (Samia Ghadie).

The coveted Best Soap prize will be contested by Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks, while Neighbours, Home and Away and Doctor are nominated for Best Daytime Soap.
