Drag Race UK’s Victoria Scone responds to outrage over series four cast absence

Maybe we shouldn't count her out completely...

A lot of people have been asking one question following the ru-veal of the cast of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK series 4 on Wednesday (7 September): Where’s Victoria Scone?

The series three queen had to bow out of the competition last year after sustaining an injury. However, unlike queens in the US who’ve had similar injuries, Victoria does not appear to have had an invitation to return for the next series.

Following the cast announcement, Victoria’s series three sister, Elektra Fence tweeted: “Where is @VictoriaScone I thought she was on s4? 👀”

Others asked the same question. One person said her absence from the cast was “infuriating”.

The furor has not escaped Victoria’s attention, however. She took to Twitter to post a meme of Mr. Blobby sneaking up on someone with the words “Cast of S4” over Mr. Blobby and “Cast of S3” over the other individual. The caption was a pair of googly eyes.

And on Tik Tok, she posted a video captioned “Noooooo”.

In the video captions appear at first reading: “Not a lot going on around here lately let’s just check my socials!” as the sound asks: “Not a lot going on around here lately let’s just see what’s behind this door”.

As she opens the door captions like “Are you on season 4?” appear before Victoria closes the door and mimes “noooooo” and a final caption reads: “Is there a better thing to talk about?”

It has been rumoured for some time that Victoria may not be returning to Drag Race UK because she will instead appear on a rumoured Canada vs the World, which would follow on from Drag Race UK vs the World.

Currently, Victoria is on tour with the season three gals so is plenty busy. Also, it’s not out of the realm of possibility for Victoria to make an appearance in series four once it gets underway.

RuPaul loves a twist.

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK series 4 returns to BBC Three and BBC iPlayer on 22 September at 9 pm.

The Attitude September/October issue is out now.
