Drag Race UK season three guest judges to include Oti Mabuse, Matt Lucas, Kathy Burke

A number of Drag Race UK season three guest judges have been announced, including two iconic camp comedy veterans.

Matt Lucas, who starred in BBC sketch series Little Britain from 2003-2007, will be joining an episode of the series, reportedly kicking off this autumn, alongside Gimme Gimme Gimme star Kathy Burke [below, as Gimme‘s Linda La Hughes].

Also appearing on the judging panel will be Strictly Come Dancing pro Oti Mabuse.

They’ll join regular judges RuPaul and Michelle Visage, alongside alternating judges Allan Carr and Graham Norton. Six more guest judges are to be ru-vealed, with rumours swirling that Little Mix’s Leigh-Anne Pinnock is among htem

“I loved the very-kind-to-old- ladies’ lighting”

Commenting, Burke – also known for TV shows like Absolutely Fabulous and Harry Enfield & Chums – said (as per HuffPo): “I’m a big Drag Race fan, so It was absolutely brilliant to meet RuPaul and Michelle Visage – and I loved the very-kind-to-old- ladies’ lighting.”

Meanwhile, Mabuse [below] added: “‘I’ve watched every episode since season one in the States, Canada, Down Under and I was excited to be on the UK one and meet the queens and work with them.

“I adore them. They’re so funny, so talented but even more than that they are real and it’s beautiful to see them really come out of their shell.”

Lucas [below] said his “years of wearing tights are behind me, so I was both relieved and delighted to be asked to be on the panel! I was hugely impressed by the brilliance and invention on the show, and it was one of the most entertaining days I’ve ever had.”

Drag Race UK season three will feature the show’s first cisgender woman queen, Victoria Scone.

RuPaul’s Drag Race series three premieres in September in the UK on BBC Three via BBC iPlayer.
