Bravissimo! RuPaul’s Drag Race is going Italian in its latest iteration – and we can’t wait to say “ciao bella” to a brand-new cast of queens.

The news was officially announced on the World of Wonder Instagram account earlier today (1 July 2021).

According to the caption, the show is “coming to @wowpresentsplus in select territories (excluding Italy) and @discoveryplusit in Italy, stay tuned for more!”

Beyond an image of the Drag Race logo set against Rome’s famous Colosseum, further insight is thin on the ground!

“Hide your wigs…”

The series is the latest in the global expansion of the Drag Race franchise following UK, Canadian and Australian outings, and a new season of All Stars currently underway.

We’ve also had RuPaul’s Secret Celebrity Drag Race and The Switch Drag Race in South America; there are also rumours of an international All Stars somewhere in the pipeline…

What’s more, we recently had the below teaser for an incoming third series of Drag Race UK

This year alone has seen Drag Race Down Under crown its first winner in Kita Mean, while Lawrence Chaney won Drag Race UK series two, and Symone won Drag Race season 13 in the US.

We don’t know if we can stay on top of it all!
