Disney has confirmed the release of a Frozen short film in 2015.
The film will serve as a mini sequel to the record-breaking animation, and will feature a brand new song.
Frozen Fever will feature the return of the main cast, including Idina Menzel’s Elsa, Kristen Bell’s Anna and Jonathan Groff’s Kristoff.
The synopsis for the short film reads: “In Frozen Fever, it’s Anna’s birthday and Elsa and Kristoff are determined to give her the best celebration ever, but Elsa’s icy powers may put more than just the party at risk.”
Disney currently has no plans for a full-length sequel, but is developing a Broadway musical based on the hit – read more here.
Frozen‘s worldwide popularity saw it become the highest-grossing animated movie of all time, and it also scooped the Best Animated Feature prize at this year’s Oscars.
