Franklin has previously been arrested for disorderly conduct in 2011, but claimed that she had been a victim of racial profiling.

She joined Destiny’s Child in 2000, appearing alongside Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, but left the group five months later.

Her band mates claimed that her departure was due to her missing rehearsals and scheduled appearances, but Franklin cited her lack of control over decision making as the reason for her exit.

She has pursued a largely unsuccessful career as a solo artist and actress since leaving Destiny’s Child fourteen years ago.

Williams recently reunited with Beyoncé and kelly Rowland on her new gospel-inspired single Say Yeswatch the music video for the song here.
