Davood Ghadami joins ‘EastEnders’ as new heartthrob

By Sam Rigby

EastEnders

has announced that actor Davood Ghadami has joined the cast of the long-running soap.

Ghadami, who has previously appeared in Casualty, Doctors and Skins, will play a character called Khoroush ‘Kush’ Kazemi – who is apparently something of a “ladies’ man”.

Kush

Kush is also described as a “good guy” with “the gift of the gab”, but is said to be hiding a tragic past beneath his brash exterior. However, Sonia (Natalie Cassidy) already knows him from when he played on Martin’s football team, so it seems his past won’t stay secret for long.

Ghadami said of his casting: “I’m so excited to be joining the cast of EastEnders as I’ve been a fan of the show for as long as I can remember. It’s surreal to get to work with these actors that I’ve spent so many evenings watching on television!”

Dominic Treadwell-Collins, EastEnders‘ Executive Producer, added: “Davood’s a brilliant actor and a proper gentleman. We’ve had Kush in our minds for a while now – a new leading man to spice up the market and set some female hearts fluttering. And it won’t be long before he has one Walford woman firmly in his sights…”
