David Gandy cast in ‘Absolutely Fabulous’ film

David Gandy has been cast in the film adaptation of Absolutely Fabulous.
The underwear model, who has previously appeared in the much-loved BBC series in cameo form, will star in the film alongside another recently announced addition to the cast, Bridesmaids actress Rebel Wilson.
“I was in a one-off version of Ab Fab for Sport Relief in 2012,” Gandy told the Daily Mail. “I hear the film’s about fashion and media so it’s a world I understand. People think I’m super-serious when I’m pouting for the cameras so I like to show I have a personality.”
Jennifer Saunders and co-star Joanna Lumley last returned to the iconic roles of Edina Monsoon and Patsy Stone for a trio of special episodes shown in 2011 and 2012. In January, Saunders revealed that she had completed the first draft of the film’s script.
