DaBaby’s credit on Dua Lipa’s ‘Levitating’ now absent from Billboard Hot 100 listing
As track becomes the US's longest-charting top 10 hit by female artist in a lead role

DaBaby has been removed as a featured artist from Dua Lipa’s hit ‘Levitating’ on the Billboard Hot 100.
As per Forbes, this is because the solo version of the song – as it originally appears on Lipa’s album Future Nostalgia – is now the most popular in the US.
Fans have called for the rapper to be removed from the song altogether after he made anti-gay comments at Rolling Loud music festival in Miami last month.

The star said during his set: “Fellas, if you ain’t sucking d**k in the parking lot put your cellphone light up.”
He also made disparaging and inaccurate remarks about HIV, including saying the illness can “make you die in two to three weeks.”
“Surprised and horrified”
Earlier this summer, Lipa put out a statement saying she was “100%” behind the LGBTQ community following DaBaby’s comments.
Speaking out via Instagram, the star said: “I’m surprised and horrified at DaBaby’s comments. I really don’t recognize this as the person I worked with.
“I know my fans know where my heart lies and that I stand 100% with the LGBTQ community. We need to come together to fight the stigma and ignorance around HIV/AIDS.”
The news comes as the song becomes the longest-charting top 10 hit by a female artist in a lead role, inching ahead of LeAnn Rimes’ ‘How Do I Live’.
The song is currently at number six on the Hot 100, after 46 weeks on the chart. It has reached a peak position of number two.
