Sex and the City fans have long hoped for Miranda Hobbes to come out as a lesbian.

And since Cynthia Nixon was recently seen on the And Just Like That set filming Pride-like LGBTQ rally scenes… we got to thinking it might just happen.

The upcoming spin-off show drops on HBO Max on 9 December and will reunite Nixon with fellow Sex And The City icons Sarah Jessica-Parker and Kristin Davis. (Kim Cattrall, who was recently cast in the upcoming Queer As Folk reboot, will not reprise her role as maneater Samantha Jones).

In photos obtained by the Daily Mail, Miranda – who is married to Steve Brady, with whom she has a son, Brady – is seen bellowing for queer rights alongside fellow protestors adorned with rainbows.

And Just Like That is also set to feature nonbinary star Sara Ramirez, who was also seen in the rally scenes with Cynthia.

“The slice of New York City it was showing was so incredibly affluent”

Speaking to Grazia last year, the 55-year-old Cynthia said of the show’s legacy: “I was always troubled by how undiverse it was. Certainly racially but also how the slice of New York City it was showing was so incredibly affluent.

“Miranda’s husband was the only representation of anybody who didn’t have money for days. I guess Carrie didn’t have money for days but you would never know it by the way she spent.”

In the first season of Sex and the City, Miranda poses as a lesbian to get ahead at work.

Cynthia’s wife is Christine Marinoni, with whom she tied the knot in 2012.
