Chris Pratt‘s character Star-Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy is bisexual and polyamorous, Marvel Comics has confirmed.

The revelation is made in the latest issue of the comic, titled ‘I Shall Make You a Star-Lord’, Guardians of the Galaxy #9.

In the comic, the Star-Lord is seen in a relationship with male and female androids after being trapped on a planet called Morinus for 150 years.

“You’re my home”

In the strip, the character is seen telling the androids: “It’s been over a decade, it’s time to accept the truth […]. Morinus is my home. You’re my home.”

“Thanks for accepting me, guys,” he adds, with the male android Mors replying: “Congratulations, Peter Quill. The you-that-was is over.

“You’re newborn. And ready to learn our ways.”

Quill made his debut in the comics in 1976.

Jurassic World star Pratt – the worst of the four Hollywood Chrises, according to the internet – plays Star-Lord, also known as Peter Quill, across the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

This includes 2014’s Guardians of the Galaxy and 2017’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, as well as 2019’s Avengers: Endgame.

We’ll have to wait and see if director James Gunn makes Star-Lord’s bisexuality part of the third Guardians film, due in 2023.

If he does, it might make for difficult viewing for Pratt’s infamously anti-gay church, Hillsong… Here’s hoping!
