Is that a light at the end of the tunnel we see? Yes, it is – in the form of Cheryl and Eve performing at this year’s Mighty Hoopla festival!

Yep, ex-X Factor star Cheryl tops the bill for this year’s pop-and-queer-tastic music extravaganza in London, it has been announced, with the likes of Eve, Gabrielle and Becky Hill following close behind.

Not to mention En Vogue: for this writer’s money, the best name of all!

The full line-up for was released this morning, with other throwback acts including Atomic Kitten, Sonique and Whigfield.

The news follows months of cancelled cultural events due to coronavirus, including last year’s Hoopla; it was recently confirmed that this summer’s Glastonbury would once again be pushed back.

Mighty Hoopla is forging ahead, however, and will take place in Brockwell Park on 4 September 2021. Tickets are on sale now from £49.50 ($67.74) plus booking fee at www.mightyhoopla.com.

Cheryl is of course known for hits like ‘Love Made Me Do It’ and ‘Fight For This Love’, while Eve’s songs include ‘Tamborine’ and ‘Let Me Blow Your Mind’.

Meanwhile En Vogue’s discography features jewels like ‘Don’t Let Go’ and ‘Free Your Mind’. Elsewhere, Becky Hill has scored a UK number one with Oliver Heldens on the song ‘Gecko (Overdrive)’, while RAYE hit the top 10 with last year’s Regard-featuring single ‘Secrets’.
