Check out brand new pictures from ‘Doctor Who’ series eight

The BBC has unveiled a set of pictures from the forthcoming series eight premiere of Doctor Who.
One of the images shows new Doctor Peter Capaldi wearing the costume previously worn by former Timelord Matt Smith. Another offers a glimpse of Scottish actress Neve McIntosh in her guest role as the Doctor’s Silurian friend, Madame Vastra.

The new series will be the first with Capaldi as the Timelord, after Matt Smith’s Doctor regenerated into Capaldi’s Doctor in last year’s Christmas special.
Guest stars on the new series will include Frank Skinner, Sanjeev Bhaskar, Keeley Hawes, Hermione Norris, Ben Miller and up-and-coming British popstar Foxes.

The series eight premiere – titled ‘Deep Breath’ – will air on August 23 in both the UK and the US.
