‘Charmed’ reboot casts its second sister

The CW have finally cast the youngest sister

The CW has officially cast a second sister in the Charmed reboot.

The reboot of the supernatural series was announced last month, but with filming yet to even begin that hasn’t stopped it being repeatedly been slammed by original Charmed star Holly Marie Combs as well as fans.

However, none of that has stopped the producers from going ahead with the project, who have continued their search for actors to star in the show.

Deadline has revealed that producers have cast Sarah Jeffery, from NBC’s Shades Of Blue, as the youngest sister, Madison, who is described as a “bubbly college freshman who finds witchcraft at odds with her goal of getting into a super-fun sorority”.

Jeffery has been playing Jennifer Lopez’s daughter Cristina Santos in NBC’s Shades Of Blue. She’s also appeared in Disney Channel movie Descendants and will star in WB’s upcoming Scooby-Doo spin-off comedy Daphne & Velma as Daphne.

The 21-year-old will join Melonie Diaz as lesbian sister Mel and Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle star Ser’Darius Blain as the boyfriend of third sister, Macy.

Casting is set to continue as the CW Network search to find Macy as well as Mel’s detective girlfriend, Madison’s ex-boyfriend Brian and the trio’s “handsome” Whitelighter, Harry.

The reboot, written by Jane The Virgin writers Jessica O’Toole and Amy Rardin, has been described as a “fierce, funny and feminist” reboot of the original series that takes place in present time and centers on three sisters in a college town who discover they’re witches.
