Britney Spears lined up for Superbowl 2016 comeback?

By Josh Haggis

Britney Spears is rumoured to be performing at the Superbowl in 2016.

Reports over the weekend have suggested that producers of the iconic half-time show are eyeing up Spears to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Beyonce, Janet Jackson and Madonna, thanks to the sell-out success of her Piece of Me residency in Las Vegas.

Spears

“She’s ready to do something massive,’ claimed The National Enquirer. “She’s definitely doing a part in the Super Bowl halftime show next year. The details haven’t totally been worked out yet, but it will be huge.”

If the reports are true, this wouldn’t be the first time Spears has performed at the half-time show. Back in 2001, the Born To Make You Happy singer joined Aerosmith for a performance of their track Walk This Way alongside ‘NSYNC, Nelly and Mary J. Blige.

Meanwhile, Spears’ forthcoming collaboration with Aussie rapper Iggy Azalea has allegedly been co-written by British girl group Little Mix – find out what she had to say here.
