Adele’s long-awaited third studio album ‘for November release’

By Will Stroude

Incredibly, it’s fast-approaching half a decade since Adele released her record-breaking, world-dominating sophomore album, 21, but new reports say that the record’s eagerly-anticipated follow-up could be released in a matter of weeks.

After seemingly teasing her third album’s release way back in May last year and a subsequent denial from her label, there’s been no word from either party record’s status since, but according to Billboard, the label is gearing for a November release.

Adele herself has remained tight-lipped about the record, and in fact has barely made any public appearances since the birth of her son almost thee years ago, but her fellow artists have been dropping plenty of encouraging hints, however.

From what we know, Rumour Has It producer and One Republic frontman Ryan Tedder has been working on the album, as has Danger Mouse, while Swedish hitmaker Max Martin has reportedly contributed a single.

Pharrell Williams has also revealed that he’s been working with the 27-year-old, praising her as a “masterful writer”.

“She’s kinda like, ‘OK guys, I’m gonna open my diary for 20 minutes’. So it’s like, OK, you have 20 minutes, or 32 minutes really,” the NERD star said of working with the star back in June.

“Then she gives it to you and closes it up and disappears, and she’s off with her beautiful boy – and that’s what it’s all about.”

Meanwhile, Ed Sheeran told Capital FM last month: “I haven’t heard [Adele’s album], but everyone I know who’ve worked on it is just like, ‘Dude… that record!’ Apparently, it’s really good.”

After five years? We should jolly well hope so.
