ABBA’s new music has been delayed until later this year
The Swedish foursome revealed they will be releasing two new singles

ABBA’s new music will not be released until later this year.
Last year, the iconic foursome – Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad – confirmed that they had recorded two new songs for a ‘virtual ABBA’ experience alongside Simon Fuller after their meeting took an ‘unexpected consequence’.
Their comeback resulted in two new songs and one of them, ‘I Still Have Faith In You’ was set to be performed by their digital selves in a TV special produced by NBC and the BBC, in December last year.
However, the project was delayed until 2019 and now, their two new singles are likely to be released later this year.
A representative told Variety: “No release before the summer. Hopefully this fall.”
Andersson then told fan site icethesite: “When that press release [about the TV show and recordings] came out, everything was up and running smoothly, then it didn’t run as smoothly.
“We are still trying to establish the agreement that needs to be done to be able to continue.
“We are good. It’s the other side, everything that has to be done, everything that has to be drawn. It’s delayed. It’s not our doing.”
The group haven’t performed since 1986 despite selling more than 400 million albums and they have all resisted reunions but are behind this new project.
