ABBA fans are eagerly anticipation a “historic” livestream announcement from London, days after the legendary pop group’s mysterious new project ABBA Voyage was announced.

Last week, several official social media accounts bearing the name were opened, bearing the message: “Thank you for waiting, the journey is about to begin.”

Thursday’s livestream, which you can watch above from 5.45pm BST, comes almost 40 years after the band – comprised of Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad – last performed together as a foursome.

ABBA, who are estimated to have sold between 150 million and 385 million worldwide are known for hits including ‘The Winner Takes It All’, ‘Take a Chance On Me’ and ‘Thank You For the Music.’

Their last studio album, The Visitors, was released in 1981, but the group’s music has remained ubiquitous ever since, spawning a hit Broadway and West End musical, Mamma Mia!, which itself was adapted into a hit 2008 movie starring Meryl Streep. A sequel, Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, was released in 2018.
