Tom Daley ran into Shawn Mendes after taking Troye Sivan Met Gala urinal pic

The most surreal showbiz story of the year has reached new levels of bizzare thanks to a leather-clad Shawn Mendes.
Some context: earlier this week, ‘Youth’ singer Troye Sivan posted a picture of himself urinating at Monday’s Met Gala in New York City, revealing Tom Daley had taken the picture under Rihanna’s instruction.
(In a caption, he said: “@badgalriri told @tomdaley to take this pic of me weeing.”)

Now, in a new interview, Olympian Tom has described bumping into Troye – while also describing some of the other (incredible) celebrity traffic in and outside the loo.
“Hanging out with Maisie Williams outside the toilet”
Speaking to Vogue on Wednesday, Tom said: “My most surreal moment was going to the toilet and peeing next to Troye Sivan, then Rihanna opening the door to the toilet.”

This we already knew – but then it got even starrier.
“Then walking out and Shawn Mendes [pictured below in his leathers] coming into the toilet,” the 27-year-old continued. “Then hanging out with Maisie Williams outside the toilet and bumping into Emma Raducanu after she just won her US Open. That was kind of surreal.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Tom said: “I was slightly nervous going in, because I had no idea what to expect. Just to see the sheer amount of influence in that room is so surreal.

“I was like, ‘If everyone in this room actually put their heads together and decided that they wanted to be able to change the world, they probably could.”
The guys’ night out follows Troye releasing new single ‘Angel Baby’ last week, Shawn releasing ‘Summer of Love’ with Tainy last month, and Tom winning gold at Tokyo 2020 in July.
