Madonna will reportedly duet with Miley Cyrus at the Wrecking Ball singer’s upcoming MTV Unplugged session.

According to E! Online, the controversial pair were spotted rehearsing on a soundstage together on Monday (January 27). It is unknown whether they are planning to duet on one of Cyrus’s Bangerz or a classic Madge anthem.

Cyrus’s MTV Unplugged session is set to tape later today (January 28) and will air on the US network tomorrow night at 9pm.

A MTV representative said of the eagerly-anticipated performance: “The unplugged session will showcase a more intimate side of Cyrus and feature surprise guests for an unexpected re-invention of the songs that have defined her career, including several from her Number One critically acclaimed album Bangerz.

“Miley and her fans have always had an intimate and direct connection through her music, personality and no-holds-barred attitude and the Unplugged stage will serve as the perfect platform for her to show viewers what inspires and ignites her music and her passions.”

Madonna took to the stage with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis at the Grammys in LA on Sunday night (January 26) for an historic performance of Same Love and Open Your Heart during which 34 couples, both gay and straight, were married onstage. Watch it here.
