Nile Rodgers has revealed that he is keen to collaborate with Madonna again.

The Chic legend, 61, is currently enjoying a career revival after co-writing and playing on Daft Punk’s  2013 Number One hit Get Lucky. He has since gone on to work with Disclosure and Avicii.

In the ’80s, Rodgers produced several blockbuster albums including David Bowie’s Let’s Dance and Madonna’s Like A Virgin – home to the iconic title track as well as Material Girl and Dress You Up.

“I adore Madonna. If she ever wants to work, I am totally down,” Rodgers told Metro at the BRIT Awards on Thursday night (February 20).

“For a gazillion years I have always said she is the hardest-working person I have ever worked with. She is the most dedicated. The most focused and I absolutely adore her.”

Earlier this month (February) Madonna confirmed that she is working on a new studio album.

“Yes, plans are in the works already,” she said at the opening of one of her Hard Candy gyms in Toronto, Canada. “Don’t ask me with who — it’s a secret. Top secret.”

Last September (2013), Madonna told fans during a Reddit AMA session: ”I would love to work with Daft Punk,” before adding that she is “just waiting for them to return my call”.

Madonna’s last studio album, MDNA, was released in 2012 and reached Number One in the US and UK. She scored her 13th and most recent UK chart-topping single with 4 Minutes in 2008.
