Union J are to headline this year’s Pride Cymru.

The X Factor boyband will take to the stage at Cardiff’s Coopers Field on Saturday, August 16.

A spokesperson for the event said in a press statement: “It was at the very heart of Cardiff, in December 2012, that the X-Factor finalists first announced they had signed a Sony record deal, whilst performing at Wales’ well-known LGBT venue Pulse. It will be nice to see the boys back in Wales again.”

The Big Reunion‘s Eternal have also been confirmed to perform at the Welsh Pride event, which will also feature a parade, a fun fair, a cultural market with arts and crafts and a social hub for LGBT people offering advice and support.

Meanwhile, other performers on the day will include X Factor alumnus Misha B and former UK Eurovision representative Nicki French.

Advanced tickets are available now from See Tickets, with prices beginning at just £5.40. You can also follow the event on Twitter and Facebook using the handle @PrideCymru.
