By Attitude Magazine

Queer music festival YO!Sissy is set to take place in Berlin next month.

Promising an eclectic mix of contemporary and local music, with a host of DJs, musicians and performance artists due to take part, the festival promises to ‘bridge the gap between the burgeoning local scene and established, international artists.’

And with over 40 performances to choose from, YO!Sissy is set to be the largest festival of its kind to ever take place in Berlin, a city famous for its colourful culture and LGBT inclusivity.

The festival will open Friday 24th July, at Shcwuz, with performances from acts such as DJ JD Samson, followed by an ‘all day blowout’ on Saturday 25th July at Neue Heimat. The festival will close on Sunday night, with closing acts including visual performance artist Christeene and Berlin based songwriter Dan Bodan.

The weekend will be also be packed with surprise performances, gourmet local foods, and the best of ‘Berlin’s over the top nightlife community.’

Those behind Yo! Sissy, have said the event is part of their mission ‘to promote the energy, diversity and lifestyle that is so unique to queer Berlin’ and that it is their hope to ‘share their love for the city with people from across the globe.’
