US Pastor dresses horse in wedding gown to protest gay marriage
By Josh Haggis
A US pastor has dressed a horse in a wedding dress in a bizarre protest against same-sex marriage.
Edward James – pastor at Bertha Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Jackson, Mississippi – dressed a horse named Charlotte in the makeshift gown this week to protest the striking down of the state’s gay marriage ban last month (November 25).
Check out the horse modelling the gown below:
“Although the protest is ridiculous, so is the same-sex marriage status,” James told the Clarion-Ledger.
“That’s the point I’m trying to convey to Mississippians today, and I’m hoping that [U.S. District Court] Judge Reeves will reconsider his ruling and that Mississippi will stay a state that will only recognize marriage between a man and a woman,” he added.
