A trans woman claimed she was attacked and assaulted by a group of men in San Luis Obispo, in California.

The woman – who wished to remain anonymous – was staying at a motel in the city last week when a group of men, who were travelling to the city on business, started hurling ‘sexually suggestive comments’ towards her.

She also claimed they offered her $200 to perform sex acts on them, the San Luis Obispo Tribune reported.

The men then allegedly started shouting the transphobic slur, ‘tranny’ towards her. After she confronted them, one of the men reportedly became angry and started punching her and choking her until she lost consciousness.

After regaining consciousness, she said another man was ‘half-kicking’ her while ‘half-pushing’ the attacker off her.

She managed to escape and called emergency services. Police arrived around 10pm.

The victim suffered a concussion from the attack and needed to spend two days in hospital.
