Styles says being female “isn’t that important” in a partner
By Josh Haggis
Harry Styles has fuelled speculation that he could be bisexual by saying that the gender of a potential partner doesn’t matter to him.
The One Direction star made the comment when he and his bandmate Liam Payne were asked on camera by On Demand Entertainment (ODE) to name four qualities they look for in a girl.
Payne told the ODE reporter: “Female, it’s a good trait,” to which Styles laughed and retorted: “Not that important”. Styles then proceeded to say that, for him, being “natural”, “nice” and having a “sense of humour” are important qualities for a potential partner to have.
In an interview with GQ last year, 20-year-old Styles dismissed rumours that he is bisexual by saying: “Bisexual? Me? I don’t think so. I’m pretty sure I’m not.”
Earlier this year Styles showed his support for openly gay American football player Michael Sam during a show on One Direction’s world tour – find out more here.
