Prince announces February UK shows

Prince has confirmed that he will be performing in the UK next month.

The Purple Rain singer is bringing his ‘Hit and Run’ tour to our shores in February, when he will perform “iconic venues” in and around London.

Prince will arrive in London on Monday, February 3 and has announced that his first stop will be singer-songwriter Lianne La Havas’s living room, where he is expected to hold a press conference.

“This 24-year-old singer-songwriter met Prince last year during LaHavas’ tour of America,” according to a press release. “They jammed together at Prince’s Paisley Park Studio in Minneapolis and have kept in touch ever since.

“When Prince told Lianne he was coming to London to launch his new project, Ms LaHavas jokingly offered her flat as the location for the press conference.”

Prince last performed in the UK in July 2011 at the Hop Farm Festival.
