Jussie Smollett and ‘Empire’ stars throw their weight behind Hilary Clinton – WATCH

By Will Stroude

Former Attitude cover star Jussie Smollett

and his Empire castmates have joined forces to implore the US public to vote Hillary Clinton during this year’s presidential election.

Taraji P. Henson, Bryshere Gray, Trai and Grace Byers, Gabourey Sidibe and Tasha Smith appeared alongside Jussie, as well as the show’s director Lee Daniels.

“So many women and men died for us to have the right to vote,” says Daniels, who also directed the ad, in the video. “Every time we sit out, we dishonor their sacrifices.”

“There’s only one person in this race who said Black Lives Matter,”  Bryshere – who plays Hakeem in the show – says, referencing the continuous  struggle for equal justice for slain black people in the country.

Thai Byers, who plays Andre adds, “The violence and nasty rhetoric against mankind is unacceptable,” Before Taraji, and Jussie, who play Cookie and Jamal respectively, argue that, “If Trump gets into office, it will only get worse.”
