James Corden pays tribute to Orlando victims during Tony Awards

By Anthony Lorenzo

Actor James Corden addressed the Orlando massacre in his opening speech at the Tony’s last night (June 12th), expressing the theatre community’s solidarity with the LGBT community.

He said: “On behalf of the whole theatre community, and every person in this room, our hearts go out to all of those affected by this atrocity,” adding:

“Hate will never win. Together, we have to make sure of that. Tonight’s show stands as a symbol and a celebration of that principle.”
