Gay teen stuns classmates with drag lip sync performance on last day of school

By Ross Semple

A teenage boy at a school in Shropshire has left his classmates gagging after a sickening lip sync performance on the last day of school.

Philipp Penning, a former pupil at Charlton School in Shropshire, decided he wanted to end his time at school in style with a drag performance of ‘I Will Survive’ – complete with a floor-length gown and a Cher ‘Turn Back Time’ wig – during the school’s Leavers Assembly.

However, the performance almost didn’t take place. Teachers tried to put a stop to Penning’s act after branding it “unrespectable”. They quickly changed their tune after a petition to let Philipp perform amassed almost 300 signatures in less than a day.

Philipp’s schoolmates were incredibly supportive of his performance, with raucous cheers coming from the crowd as he slayed the lip sync.

He finished his performance by saying: “I would like to point out that I’m probably the gayest thing to ever come from Charlton School!”

Watch the performance below:

For anyone who missed the drag performance. At the end he says “i’m the most gay thing that’s ever happened to charlton school”. I for one definitely agree with you there Phil.
