Fox News presenters just awful about Caitlyn Jenner

By Nick Bond

Yesterday, Vanity Fair unveiled its latest cover star – and introduced Caitlyn Jenner to the world.

It’s fair to say she made quite a splash – in less than 24 hours she’s already amassed almost 2 million Twitter followers (a world record), and has seen support flow in from people around the world – including her own family members, the Jenner/Kardashians clan (this despite rather outshining stepdaughter Kim’s pregnancy announcement yesterday).

Not all coverage of Caitlyn’s public debut has been quite so positive, though. Over on Fox News, Business anchor Neil Cavuto broke the news by putting Caitlyn’s Vanity Fair cover on screen and screaming, “What the HELL is going on?”, before throwing to co-anchor Dagen McDowell, who then used male pronouns to identify Jenner no less than SEVEN times.

Cavuto then joked about wrapping up the segment early due to his clear disgust with Jenner, and threw to his next guest, Charles Payne – who he jokingly referred to as “Charlene”.

Just to cap things off, Cavuto threw in one final editorialised thought on Jenner’s Vanity Fair cover, likening it to the fall of the Roman Empire: “Rome. Final days. But that’s fine.”

And now let’s all look at Caitlyn’s gorgeous, Annie Leibovitz-shot cover to cleanse our palates:
