Four people have been detained by police after attacking and throwing two men into the sea during a Pride Parade.

The four people are suspected of approaching a Greek and Brazilian couple who were marching in the Thessaloniki Pride rally, CTV News reported.

One of the victims was holding a rainbow flag and after they were both verbally abused, they were lifted and thrown into the sea.

Luckily, the two victims – who were separated from the main crowd – didn’t have any injuries following the attack.

The Thessaloniki Pride march is the country’s second largest parade which attracts upward of 5,000 participants.
