‘Big Brother’ housemate speaks out against gay marriage

BBBig Brother: Power Trip

housemate Danielle McMahon has spoken out against gay marriage.

McMahon was one of the first batch of new housemates to enter the Big Brother house on the launch show this Thursday (June 5).

The 25-year-old from Glasgow, a lingerie model who last year appeared in a spread for Nuts magazine (pictured), is a devout Catholic and believes that same-sex marriage is wrong.

“I’ve got nothing against homosexuals, I just personally don’t believe in same-sex marriage,” she said in an interview with The Daily Star shortly before she entered the BB house. “It’s just not right in our faith, it doesn’t really affect me because a same-sex marriage wouldn’t happen in a Catholic church.”

She continued: “I went to a very religious school, my dad has Irish roots, it’s always been there. I’ve learned to live with it. Follow your life through the faith.”

Big Brother: Power Trip continues tonight (June 7) at 9:30pm on Channel 5 – and all 12 new housemates have now entered the house.
