Latino-Canadian gay porn star Milo Miles has claimed he was treated like a criminal by US border control, resulting in a US entry ban.

While travelling to Las Vegas in January to attend the GayVN Awards, he said he was subjected to two separate detentions at Toronto Pearson Airport where officers allegedly violated his privacy.

Miles alleged he was ultimately banned from the US for 10 years over alleged involvement in escort work, claiming officials focused on his sexual orientation.

“An unsettling focus on my sexual orientation” – Milo Miles claiming he was mistreated by US border control

Speaking to LGBTQ Nation, the 31-year-old said his phone and luggage were searched. “I was subjected to derogatory comments, with an unsettling focus on my sexual orientation and my sex life.

“I was treated like a criminal despite having done nothing wrong. I felt coerced, manipulated, and powerless. I am devastated.”

After being detained for two hours, Miles claimed officials “questioned me and interrogated me with an unsettling focus on my sexual orientation. They accused me of escorting with no evidence”.

Milo was allegedly questioned over his luggage, containing PrEP and other supplements

He alleged the border officers scrutinised his luggage, which contained PrEP, fibre pills and dietary supplements, asking him if he was ill. They also referred to his clothing as “gay”, asking why he was bringing it with him.

After being released, and having missed his flight, Miles arrived at customs the following day and was once again met with an alleged invasive bombardment of officers.

The porn star claimed he was ultimately banned from the US for 10 years over alleged involvement in sex work.

What does the US law say about prostitution?

According to US travel law, any individual coming to the US to engage in prostitution, or who has done so in the past 10 years, is prohibited from entry.

Despite the ordeal, Miles took home the Best Oral Sex Scene award at the GayVN Awards, one of the most prestigious award ceremonies in the gay porn calendar.

He is also up for eight nominations at the 27th Annual GRABBY Awards Show, including Hottest Bottom, Best Actor for Twinktop, and Fan Favourite, held on 23 May 2026.

“[Miles] admitted to a CBP officer he received payment for engaging in prostitution in the United States” – US Customs and Border Patrol spokesperson

The Toronto-based porn star has urged friends and others in the industry to avoid travelling to the US “at all costs”.

A US Customs and Border Patrol spokesperson told The Independent that Miles “admitted to a CBP officer he received payment for engaging in prostitution in the United States—a crime—while in the United States, he was denied entry into our country”.

They denied that Miles was interrogated for eight hours.

Attitude has contacted the CBP for further comment.
