Kellie Maloney to join maiden voyage of transgender-exclusive Mediterranean cruise

By Will Stroude

Former boxing promoter and trans activist Kellie Maloney will embark on Europe’s first transgender group holiday, organized by LGBT holiday company OutOfOffice.com.

Kicking off from Venice on June 18 2017, the 7-night cruise aboard the Norwegian Star will visit Dubrovnik, Athens, Santorini and Ravenna.

The cruise was developed as a space for trans people to holiday in an inviting, inclusive space, and will feature inspirational talks from people within the trans community.

“This cruise is open to the whole world,” Kelly said. “It’ll be a great opportunity to mix together and to get to know each other.

“We’ll discuss the problems we’ve been through, our joy and our happiness. This cruise will be about having fun. After we’ve drunk the bar dry there will be fitness classes for those getting up early. I’m really looking forward to it.”

OutOfOffice.com chief Darren Burn described the cruise as a “great opportunity for the trans community to come together to meet those who have shared similar journeys.”

Further information and the full itinerary can be read and linked to here.

To join Kellie, prices start from £849pp, based on two sharing. Guests can book on OutOfOffice.com or by calling 020 7157 1570.
