He’s a mouse, duh! Newly out Gus Kenworthy shows off Halloween outfit

Olympic freeskier Gus Kenworthy came out as gay this week, in an interview that prompted an outpouring of support from all corners of the globe.

He’s rightfully earned a weekend of celebrations, and celebrate he did at a Halloween party on Friday night – for which he looked to Mean Girls for a little inspiration.

Posing shirtless in jeans with just a pair of mouse ears on and whiskers painted on his face, he looked anything but scary.

He wrote: “Halloween costume party at @theeveryhostess & @wowjeremym‘s house tonight! *Insert applicable Mean Girls quote here: ‘Halloween is the one night a year when a girl can dress like a total slut and no other girls can say anything about it. The hardcore girls just wear lingerie and some form of animal ears… I’m a mouse. Duh!'”

Explaining his reasoning for coming out, he had said on Instagram: “Part of the reason I had such a difficult time as a kid was that I didn’t know anyone in my position and didn’t have someone to look up to, who’s footsteps I could follow in.

“I hope to be that person for a younger generation, to model honesty and transparency and to show people that there’s nothing cooler than being yourself and embracing the things that make you unique.”
