Harriet Rose has spoken out in support of trans rights amid the rise of gender-critical groups across the globe.

The KISS FM UK presenter attended charity concert, Trans Mission Live, last week, where she delivered an empowering speech in a show of solidarity with the trans community.

Ahead of the event, Rose spoke exclusively with Attitude, where she reaffirmed her position as a trans ally.

“There is just validation of who you are” – Harriet Rose on trans rights and women’s rights coexisting

Rose, a cis lesbian woman, encouraged other cis women to welcome the trans community into their spaces, saying the real issue lies with dangerous men, not trans women.

“I think the point is that there is no competition, there is just validation of who you are, and trans women are women, biological women are women,” she said.

“We are all women and we are all in this together. And the faster that we realise that, the faster that we come together and work together as a team, the faster we will get equal rights for all of us because women are already on the back foot,” Rose continued.

“A lot of the issues that people have surround dangerous men” – Rose encourages women to move their anger away from trans women

“I think a lot of the issues that people have surround dangerous men. And so we need to turn our attention to them.”

Following the 2025 April Supreme Court ruling that defined “sex” as the gender assigned at birth, trans people were advised to use single-sex spaces corresponding to their birth sex.

As of 2026, the High Court rules that trans individuals can use toilets that align with their gender, but not in the workplace.

In 2024, JK Rowling allegedly donated £70,000 to gender-critical group For Women Scotland

In recent years there have been several occasions where gender-critical activists have donated funds to trans-exclusionary groups in the UK, to campaign against the rights of trans men and women.

One of which was reportedly JK Rowling. In 2024, the Harry Potter author allegedly donated £70,000 to For Women Scotland, a group that actively campaigns to exclude trans women from single-sex spaces.

Rose told Attitude: “Let’s not spend money segregating trans women when that just puts them in danger. Why would you do that? I really just don’t understand the notion of having to put it into your own terms. For example: what if it was your daughter or your son?”

“Just be a human and look after other humans” – Rose encourages solidarity amongst trans and cis women

The Masked Singer presenter concluded: “Just put it into the terms of being a human, just be a human and look after other humans. That would be great. Power in numbers, baby.”

Alongside Rose, celebrities, speakers and politicians gathered at OVO Arena Wembley to raise money for non-profits Not A Phase and Good Law Project, attended by thousands.
