season nine finale might have crowned a new winner in the form of 22-year-old Jordan Smith this week, but there was one Queen who proved that her crown remains firmly in place.
Missy Elliott transformed the studio for a typically mad-cap performance of her brilliant new single ‘WTF’, and was on vintage form as she was joined by show coach Pharrell Williams on stage.
It’s been 10 long years since the 44-year-old rapper’s last album, 2005’s The Cookbook, and while she dropped a pair of criminally-ignored solo singles back in 2012, ‘WTF’ marks that full-fledged comeback we’ve all been waiting for – she just joined Instagram, for one.
