HBO has announced that comedy series Veep will return for a fourth season.

The hit political comedy, inspired by BBC’s The Thick of It, stars Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Selina Meyer, the Vice President of the United States, who struggles to juggle a busy workload with her dysfunctional relationship with the President and a wealth of personal issues.

My Girl actress Anna Chlumsky co-stars as the Vice President’s Chief of Staff, while the cast also includes Arrested Development‘s Tony Hale as her long-suffering aide. Both Louis-Dreyfus and Hale have picked up Emmy awards for their performances.

The announcement follows the networks two-season renewal of global smash Game of Thrones earlier this month.

Season 3 of Veep is currently airing on HBO in the US, and is expected to be shown this summer on Sky Atlantic in the UK.
