Get your diaries out – Todrick Hall has announced tour dates to support his newly-released album Femuline.

Yep, the RuPaul’s Drag Race guest judging veteran’s new LP is out today – and given it’s been over 18 months since we had a proper party, Todrick’s album is giving us everything we need!

We’re going ‘BERSERK’ for the new album (that’s the name of one of the tracks, FYI), which features collabs with some pretty big names including Brandy, Tyra Banks, TS Madison, and the Chaka Khan.

It’s sure to make you ‘SHOW OFF’ your dance moves.

“LONDON, I’m coming for you… Twice”

The accompanying tour lands in the UK in May 2022 with dates in London, Birmingham, Glasgow, and Cardiff. Among them are two shows at The London Palladium on 25 and 26 May.

Tweeting his excitement today, Todrick said: “LONDON, I’m coming for you… Twice.”

Tues 17 May – Antwerp, Arenberg Theatre
Weds 18 May – Amsterdam, Royal Theatre Carré
Thurs 19 May – Paris, La Trianon
Sat 21 May – Birmingham, Town Hall
Sun 22 May – Glasgow, Barrowland Ballroom
Mon 23 May – Cardiff, St Davids Hall
Tues 24 May – Manchester, Bridgewater Hall
Weds 25 May – London, Palladium
Thurs 26 May – London, Palladium

Speaking about the album in a statement, Todrick said: “It has taken me years and years, even after coming out, to be this comfortable embracing my masculine and feminine sides. I’m so excited to give people permission to live as their fullest and truest selves with this music that I handcrafted specifically for the gay community.

“But I also feel that my music will resonate with people of all age groups and from all backgrounds.”

Our take on the album

Femuline celebrates both the masculine and feminine: sassy, ballsy, and proud, the album’s the ultimate celebration of queerness, from the Pride anthems ‘QUEEN’ and ‘BESERK’ to ‘BOTH’.

It’s definitely a strong album. After all, how many start with a track called ‘FOREPLAY’ and have another called ‘DICK THIS BIG’? Elsewhere in the tracklist, ‘PARADE’ and ‘RAINBOW REIGN’ are literal roll calls for the LGBTQ community to celebrate who we are, while ‘Boys in the Ocean’ is a fun, disco-pop tune.

Listening to each track, it’s clear this was made by someone in the LGBTQ community for the LGBTQ community, to whom it certainly will appeal. But, as Todrick says himself, there is absolutely something for everyone here. He’s long been an icon for his mixing of the masculine and the feminine, and this album seems like a culmination of that.

It’s also teeming with high-profile collaborators, who add an extra level of ‘FABULOSITY’ to proceedings. We’ve got aforementioned every woman Chaka Khan on the aforementioned track, while American TV personality TS Madison, who is trans, stars on ‘DICK THIS BIG’. Brandy helps give us our new getting ready-for-the-club song, ‘CLICK CLACK’, while Tyra Banks teaches us how to serve b**** but make it ‘FASHON’. Nicole Scherzinger also makes an appearance on ‘SHOW OFF’.

Femuline is available to download and stream online. Tickets for the tour are on sale now and available from Gigsandtours, TicketMaster, Todrick’s website.
