The new Aquaman in Young Justice: Outsiders series is in a same-sex relationship.

In the latest episode of the popular TV series, the new Aquaman called Kaldur – not the originally superhero whose alter-ego was Arthur Curry – was revealed to be dating another Atlantean.

The new Aquaman was granted the chance to become Curry’s protégé after he saved his life during a battle with Ocean Master.

Although in the series, Kaldur has been romantically linked to women including Tula – a fellow student at the Conservatory of Sorcery in Atlantis.

After abandoning this relationship, Kaldur was devoted to his work and becoming the next Aquaman aka the King of Atlantis.

But now, in season 3, episode 20, a montage sees Kaldur being approached by a former member of the Atlantean Purist movement called Wyynde.

The brief scene ends with the two young men holding hands and then kissing.

This isn’t the first time the character has been confirmed as LGBTQ after he was shortly outed in the Aquaman comic books back in 2010.

Although this character was short lived, Kaldur return as part of the Teen Titans comic in 2016 and was confirmed to be gay.
